Basic Qualification
To be a computer or Information technology professional you have various course options to choose from. The Eligibility for each course is :
~Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) is 10+2 with Science Subjects.
~Bachelor in Science with Computers is 10+2 with Science Subjects.
~Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) is BCA with minimum merit.
~M.Sc in computers is B.Sc. in Computers with minimum Merit.
~B.Tech and B.E in Computers/Information Technology is 10+2 with Science subjects.
~M.Tech in Computers/Information Technology is B. Tech/ BE in Computers/IT.
~Certification Courses depends on the course you are taking up
~Diploma in Computer Applications is 10+2 with science subjects
~Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications requires BCA/BE/BTech.
~DOEACC's O, A, B, C level courses : each level has its basic course requirement
Attitude Aptitude & Skills
As a computer/ information technology professional you need to be flexible and have willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to change quickly. You not only need logical thinking but also creativity with an ability to focus and concentrate. You should be willing to work hard for long hours and have the ability to take decisions under pressure. You should be a team player having good communicational skills along with organizational and administrative abilities.

Most of the Computer and Information technology courses require a sound financial backing. It is easy to get an educational loan if you are pursuing an engineering degree from a reputed institute. There are few other recognized courses from reputed private institute that the bank can consider for a loan. Other courses can be done along with the job which can save you a lot of financial burden.
