Last date for receiving filled in application forms (For admission in the month of January, 2014) : 29.11.2013 Last date for receiving filled in application forms (For admission in the month of July, 2014) : 30-5-2014 Admission Notification for Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD) Fifth Batch (2014) & Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM) Second Batch (2014) in Distance Mode National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) is a premier National Institution of excellence in rural development engaged in building capacities of rural development officials, elected representatives, individuals and institutions through national and international training, research, teaching and consultancy. NIRD’s contributions are appreciated worldwide. About the Programmes: NIRD is commencing its Fifth One Year PG Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development Programme and Second One year PG Diploma Programme in Tribal Development Management in Distance Mode from 1st January 2014. The Admission of candidates in the above two Programmes will be done twice in a year (January and July). For the Academic Year which starts from January, 2014 the admission process will be completed by December, 2013. The candidates who are admitted in the month of January will have to complete the programme by December. For those admitted in July, the second Academic Year will from July, 2014 to June,2015. The candidates who are admitted in the month of July will have to complete the Programmeby June, 2015. The Programmes will be offered through two semesters with 16 credits each. The PG Diplomas will be awarded by the NIRD. Special Features : Printed self-instructional material and proximate Contact Centers spread across the country.Participation in Contact Session is not compulsory and it will carry no marks. However, those Students participating in them will be benefitted. Examinations : Each Course (100 Marks) offered in any Semester will have 30 Marks for the continuous Evaluation through Assignments and 70 Marks for Semester End Examinations. The Students will also have to undertake a Project relating to Rural Development in the Second Semester whichwill also carry 100 Marks. Eligibility : A Graduate degree in any discipline from a UGC recognized University. For foreign applicants, degree of their University should be recognized by their Government and their competence in English should be ensured. Duration: One year Medium of Instruction : English Programme Fee : Rs. 20,000/- (Rs. 18,000/- for SC/ST/PH), to be deposited in two equal installments at the commencement of each Semester. For sponsored candidates, full Fee will have to be deposited at the time of admission. Fee for NRIs and foreign nationals is $ 1700 to be paid at the time of admission. GLAT 2014 Application Available Till May 5, 2014 - Form Submission Deadline

GLAT 2014 Exam:- May 26, 2014. GLAT 2014 application is available now. Candidates are advised to fill in the application at the earliest. Army Institute Of Technology (AIT), Pune : Admission 2014 - Form Submission Deadline

Last date for submission of completed AIT Application Form:- April 30, 2014 Last date of submission of AIT forms admission along with a late fee of Rs 500:- May 5, 2014 Date of JEE (Main)-2014 (offline):- April 6, 2014 Online:- April-9,11,12 and 19, 2014 Army Institute of Technology, Pune invites application to admission for the year 2014-2015 for the BE Courses commencing in July/August. AIT admission is based on the merit of JEE. All applicants are therefore required to appear in JEE and also apply to AIT. Eligibility:- The eligibility criteria for admission to AIT is given in detail in the Prospectus which is available in February every year. Brief outline is as below :- Candidate must be a ward of one of the following :- (i) Serving Army Persons. (ii) Serving medical officers of IN and IAF who have served in the Army for more than 10 yrs and are members of AOBF. (iii) Retired Army pers who in receipt of regular pension, or former Army pers who retired after min service of 10 yrs. (iv) Former Army pers who died during service/after retirement and family pension is granted. (v) TA pers who have completed 10 yrs of embodied service. (vi) DSC pers who are serving or retired with pension. War widow (in receipt of liberalized pension) and children in receipt of family pension (due to death of both parents) are also eligible. Details of eligibility of adopted/step children are as in the prospectus. Should have passed, or appeared for 10+2 exam, at the time of applying for admission to AIT. Minimum acceptable mark in PCM are 50%. Age of the candidate must be between 16 to 21 years on 01 Jul 2013. Must be an Indian citizen, or a PIO who obtains Indian citizenship before admission. JEE Application Form Candidate can apply for JEE 2014 'Online'. AIT Application Form JEE Application Form should be filled before AIT Application Form. The JEE Roll No must be endorsed on the AIT Application Form before submitting it to AIT. Failure to do so would result in rendering the AIT Application Form null and void. (ii) a) Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. b) There is no maximum age limit for admission into BAMS/BHMS/BNYS. Minimum acceptable marks in are 50%. iv) Must be an Indian citizen, or a PIO who obtains Indian citizenship before admission. v) Limited seats for Civilians and wards of other defence establishments. Admission Procedure : Candidates are required to fill in the form given at the end of the Prospectus. The Prospectus can be obtained by the Candidates from the Office of AIFD Bangalore, Nagareshwara Nagenahalli, Kothanur Post, Bangalore- 560077 through requisition alongwith a crossed demand draft for Rs.550/- which includes Rs.50/- as postal charges in favour of ARMY INSTITUTE OF FASHION & DESIGN, BANGALORE payable at Bangalore. Money order/ Cheque/ Postal order will not be accepted. Prospectus is also available on cash payment of Rs.500/- at Institute, Army Headquarters (AWES) and all the Army Command Headquarters (AWES). In 1956 it was overtaken by Government of India and subsequently renamed as Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research. JIPMER has a large residential campus with 195 acres of land. It has all modern facilities and infrastructure along with highly skilled and experienced faculty. Admission to M.B.B.S. Course for 150 seats is through an Entrance Examination conducted by JIPMER at various centers across India once a year. Eligibility Criteria The Applicant should be an Indian National. He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2014, the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S., i.e. they should have been born on or before 01-01-1998 (Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants). The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below: (a) The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) or any other elective with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education (b) The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes / OPH the marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination is 40%. Duration Duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months as per the Academic Calendar of JIPMER followed by 1 year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship for award of Degree. Pattern of Examination For the MBBS course, the Entrance Examination is conducted at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Culcutta, Jaipur, Pondicherry, New Delhi, Pune, Trichy, Vijayawada and Tiruvananthapuram. The results are published within a week and the selection is based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination. National Institute Of Homoeopathy, Kolkata : BHMS Admission 2014 - Form Submission Deadline

Important Dates:- Date of All India Admission Test:- 08.06.2014 Date of Publication of the result of Admission Test:- 16.06.2014 Applications are invited on three “A4” size papers (two pages for the application proforma and one page for the identification card) according to format given below from intending candidates of Indian nationality for Admission to 5& 1/2 yrs, BHMS Degree Course in Homoeopathy (including one year compulsory Rotatory Internship) at National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, affiliated to The West Bengal University of Health Sciences for the academic year 2014-2015. Form can be downloaded from the Institute official website. Photocopy of the downloaded form will be accepted. Eligibility:- Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are eligible to apply. She/He should have passed all the five subjects individually and obtained 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates). For the candidates who have appeared for Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination, candidature will be taken into consideration provided that the result of that examination is published before the admission and they have secured the required percentage of marks which has to be substantiated by production of documentary proof. Age - To be eligible for the all India common admission test, the candidate should attain 17 years but not crossed the age of 25 years as on by 31st December, 2014.Those born on or before 31st December, 1989 or after 1st January, 1998 are not eligible. Selection : The selection will be made on the basis of an all India written competitive test (Admission Test) to be held at seven centres: Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvanthapuram and Bhopal. The admission test will be of three hours duration and carrying an aggregate of 200 marks. The pattern of questions will be of multiple choice (single correct answer) type 200 questions - Physics (60 questions), Chemistry (60 questions), Biology (60 questions) and General Knowledge (20 questions). Candidate should therefore give their choice of centres in the application form. In case the number of candidates who opt for a particular Centre are less, then the centres at Hyderabad, Thiruvanthapuram and Bhopal will be cancelled and the candidates will be allotted the second choice of centre. Accordingly candidate who opts for Hyderabad, Thiruvanthapuram and Bhopal has to mention his / her second choice of Centre of examination from amongst Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Candidates must note that centre of examination once allotted to them shall not be changed and any request for such change will not be entertained at any subsequent stage. Reservation : From this academic year 93 (Ninety three) seats shall be available for admission to the BHMS Course, out of this following seats are reserved for different categories of candidates: (i) Fourteen (14) seats are for the candidates nominated from the following States/Union Territories : Jammu and Kashmir (1), Manipur (1), Meghalaya (1), Mizoram (2), Nagaland (1), Sikkim (1), Tripura (2), Andaman and Nicobar Island (1), Dadra and Nagar Haveli (1), Daman and Diu (1), Lakshadweep (1) and Puducherry (1) (ii) Six (06) seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals of which Five (05) seats are for candidates from Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi Sectoral Technical & Economic Co-operation (BIMSTEC) countries nominated by Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Azad Bhavan, Indraprastha Estate, New Delhi and One (01) seat is reserved for Foreign National candidates under self-financing scheme nominated by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. (iii) Ten (10) seats are reserved for candidates sponsored by Govt. of Sri Lanka through the Dept. of AYUSH, Govt.of India. (If no candidates are sponsored by Govt. of Sri Lanka, these seats shall remain vacant; no other candidate will be admitted against these seats). (iv) Two (02) seats are reserved for candidates from Malaysia as per directive of Govt.of India (v) The remaining seats will be filled through All-India Admission Test of three hours duration. The pattern of questions will be of multiple choice types 200 questions – Physics (60 questions), Chemistry (60 questions), Biology (60 questions) and General Knowledge (20 questions). There will be Negative marking for wrong answers. (vi) Reservation as per the Govt. of India norms shall be applicable to the remaining sixty one (61) seats. In case of candidates claiming reservation under physically challenged category, candidates having locomotor disability, involving the lower limb only shall be eligible. Blind (including colour blind), deaf, and/or dumb candidates are not eligible to apply for the course. Candidates who are desirous of availing reservation facilities under OBC quota are required to enclose attested copy of their OBC certificate issued by appropriate authority along with a declaration that she/he does not belong to creamy layer of the society (for the format see the Institute website and the attested copy must be as prescribed). Application Procedure : Filled in application (in candidate’s own handwriting) is to be sent along with Bank draft for Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) in favour of Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, payable at Kolkata (IPO/Cheque/Cash/Money order will not be accepted). No Bank draft is required in case of SC/ST candidates but a copy of caste certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer should accompany the application. Candidates who claim to belong to reserved category, should submit an attested/ certified copy of Caste Certificate along with the filled in application form in support of his/her claim. Candidates are required to enclose two recent, high contrast 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm identical copies of colour photograph, clearily showing full head, face, shoulders and both ears without wearing any cap/hat/glasses, with the application form. Both the photographs should be signed on the reverse by the candidate. Polaroid photo is not acceptable. Photograph must have been taken on or after 28th February, 2014 with a placard indicating the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph. The name and date of the photograph must be clear and legible. Two (02) copies of the photographs are to be pasted in the specified area on the application form, which should be attested by a Gazetted Officer after pasting, with part of signature on the photograph and part of signature on the application form. Applications incomplete and/or accompanied by hazy, old or unidentifiable photographs are liable to be rejected without assigning any reason. Candidates must put their full signature in all the places asked for at all the stages of admission process. Candidates need not send the photocopies of testimonials with application (except attested copy of Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST candidates claiming exemption from paying application fee and OBC/Orthopaedically challenged candidates claiming for reservation in admission) but the original Certificates must be submitted for verification if provisionally selected. Result of the qualified candidates will be communicated by post and the merit list will also be available on its official website. List of eligible candidates / their Roll number / name of allotted centre for the All India Admission Test, Result of admission test, List of candidates eligible for Counseling / date of counseling and venue etc. will be available in the Institute website mentioned earlier. Though intimation will be sent by post, candidates are requested to check the website periodically as Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt / delay in receipt of communications sent by post.

CCMT 2014 - Form Submission Deadline

The CCMT 2014 notified dates are as follows:- The CCMT 2014 Details will be available from April 11, 2014 Online Registrations for CCMT 2014:- From April 16, 2014 The CCMT 2014 Online Registration will start from April 16, 2014. Candidates can register online from April 16, 2014 for the Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Plan Admissions conducted by MNIT Jaipur. Candidates who have qualified in Gate are eligible to apply for CCMT 2014 after meeting the additional specified eligibility criteria. CCMT 2014 Counselling will be held tentatively in May 2014 after the registration of the candidates is over. Candidates will have to fill in their choices of courses, institutes along with their Gate score to be allotted seats through the CCMT 2014 Seat Allotment. CCMT 2014 Counselling Procedure comprises of three stages : 1. Online registration, choice filling and locking of choices: From April 16 till May 23, 2014 Candidates who are eligible for central counselling should register themselves by paying registration fee for counselling on the CCMT during the stipulated time. While registering, candidate are required to pay the registration fee online using the payment gateway, credit/debit/netbanking facility or through e-challan of ICICI Bank, Click here for details After payment, candidates can exercise choice filling Note: Candidates can also take the assistance at the Help Centres in Participating institutes for registration and choice filling. 2. Candidates who are allotted a seat are required to deposit an initial fee using the specified e-challan. After payment, they have to personally report to any one of the ‘Reporting Centers' or ‘Allotted Institute’ during the specified time frames They must get their original documents verified; submit photocopy of documents and proof of the initial fee payment to mark their acceptance of the offer of seat. They can also exercise “upgrade Options” if they desire. On satisfactory verification of all relevant documents and fee payment, candidate will be issued a Provisional Admission Letter. Payment of Initial Fee: Rs 10,000 to be paid by E-Challan of ICICI Bank only 3. Getting Admitted to ‘Allotted Institute’: Candidates are required report in person to the Institute for which admission has been offered within the specified time frame to complete the ‘Institute Reporting’ process. (Percentage of marks or CGPA will be based on the norms of the concerned university/Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA). 5% of total numbers of seats are available for officially sponsored candidates from the Govt. Department /P.S.U./R&D organisation with minimum of 2 years experience with the current employer. Valid GPAT/GATE/NET score (GPAT/GATE/NET score card of a candidate should be valid at the time of counselling/Group Discussion & interview) is essential qualification for all disciplines (including M.B.A.) except for the following category of candidates:- (i) Candidates holding B.V.Sc. /M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S. degree; (ii) Foreign nationals; (iii) NRI and their wards category [for M.B.A (Pharm.)] only; (iv) Sponsored candidates from Public/Private Sector undertakings, Govt. Departments and Research and Development Organizations. How to apply:- Applicants shall register online through its official website as per instructions given on the website. The process of online registration shall commence on 29th April 2014 and will continue till 12th May, 2014. However, before registration, applicants shall have to remit registration fee of Rs.1500 (Rs. 750 for SC/ST) through online transfer. Applicant can also deposit registration fee in the above account no. in any branch of State Bank of Patiala in India. CBSE To Conduct AIPMT For Admission To MBBS, BDS - Exam Date

In a press note, CBSE stated that it will conduct All India Pre Medical/Pre Dental Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the academic year 2014. 15% seats in Government Medical and Dental colleges all over India except in the states of Andhra Pradeshand Jammu & Kashmir and for colleges participating in the test will be determined through CBSE AIPMT 2014. CBSE AIPMT 2014 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in selected cities across the country and abroad. CBSE AIPMT 2014 will have one paper with 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each subject will have 45 questions. CBSE mentioned that syllabus for AIPMT is same as notified by the Medical Council of India for NEET UG which is available on the official website of Medical Council of India.

Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB - CET) 2014 - Form Submission Deadline

Important Dates:- Examination Dates for DNB-CET:- 11th June - 14th June 2014 Declaration of Results:- By 17th July 2014 Cut off date for completing internship:- 31st July 2014 DNB-CET is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) for entry to various Post Graduate courses including Direct 6 years course in the specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. Eligibility Criteria for DNB CET - June 2014: Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent / provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India and have completed one year of internship/likely to complete on or before 31st July 2014 may apply for DNB-CET examination through online application. Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of DNB-CET will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the DNB-CET, the results/candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled. Requests for appearing in DNB-CET from candidates completing internship after 31st July 2014 shall be summarily rejected. Candidate who are completing their internship after 31st July 2014 or likely to complete after 31st July 2014 need not apply in the DNB-CET exam as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process. Candidates already pursuing a MD/MS or DNB course are not eligible to appear for the DNB-CET till such time they have completed the duration of prescribed course or have been discharged from the course. Registration and /or appearance in DNB-CET does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at NBE accredited hospital / institute. Registration with M.C.I./State Medical Council/ is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished at the time of counseling. A Candidate can register & appear for DNB-CET June 2014 only once for admission to DNB July 2014 session. Registration for CET, more than once shall constitute unfair means and lead to disqualification and/or penal action. Examination Fees: DNB-CET Rs. 4500/- The above fees is inclusive of examination fees and information bulletin ; Information Bulletin shall be available at website for information. How to pay The prescribed registration fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India. Examination Scheme The test comprises 200 multiple choice, single correct response questions in English language only. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network as per scheme prescribed. Syllabus: The Syllabus for the test shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. An extract of the same is enclosed at Annexure DC, kindly refer to MCI official website for complete document. Candidates successful in the DNB-CET shall be asked to participate in a Centralized merit based counseling conducted by National Board of Examinations for allotment of DNB seats at NBE accredited Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their merit and candidate shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college of their choice as per availability at their merit. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the test centre locations and ensure that they report for the test as per scheduled time only. St. Xavier’s College BMS Entrance Exam 2014 Date:- Friday, June 6, 2014 St. Xavier’s College BMS Entrance Exam 2014 Result:- Monday, June 16, 2014 Exam: St. Xavier’s College BMS Entrance Exam 2014 St. Xavier’s College Mumbai has announced the BMS Entrance Exam 2014 for the admission to the 3 year Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme. The programme was introduced by the University of Mumbai in the year 1999. However, St. Xavier’s College Mumbai has attained autonomous status in the year 2010. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The application process for St. Xavier’s College BMS Entrance Exam 2014 will start from May 1, 2014. Eligibility: The candidate should pass Class XII with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. For the candidates in minority community, the minimum aggregate should be 55% minimum and for students belonging to the Reserved Category, it should not be less than 50%. Candidates belonging to the General Category (GC) whose date of birth is on or after 1st June 1990 are eligible to appear for the BMS Entrance Exam 2014. Candidates belonging to the catholic religious community and SC/ST candidates, which is the reserved category, who are born on or after 1st June 1988 are eligible to appear for the St. Xavier’s College BMS Entrance Exam 2014. Exam Pattern: The BMS Entrance Exam is a paper pencil based test of 2 hours duration. The questions are both objective and subjective in nature. There are 6 sections, namely General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Data Interpretation & Basic Mathematics, Verbal Ability, Reasoning/Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking and Mathematics. Application Process:- The application process will start from Thursday, May 1, 2014 8 am onwards. The process is completely online, for which the candidates have to visit the official website of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. The application fee is Rs. 500 for General category candidates and Rs. 200 for SC/ST candidates. Candidates can pay the application fee online through Credit/Debit Cards or by Demand Draft drawn on a Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘Principal, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai’ and forward it by Speed Post addressed to the Registrar of the College.
