Format of the Exam

Listening
Duration:30 minutes
No of Questions:4 Sections with 40 questions
Score:Your score is reported on a Band Scale from 1 to 9, for each module of the test and your Overall Band Score, on a scale from 1 to 9
Question Type:Candidate listen to a number of recorded text with increasing difficulty as the test progresses. These include a mixture of monologues and conversations and feature a variety of English Accents.
Academic Reading
Duration:60 Minutes
No of Questions:3 Sections with 40 questions
Score:Your score is reported on a Band Scale from 1 to 9, for each module of the test and your Overall Band Score, on a scale from 1 to 9
Question Type:There are three reading passages with tasks. tests are taken from books,magazines, journals, newspapers. All written for a non specialist audience.Atleast one of the text contain a detailed argument.
Academic Writing
Duration:60 minutes
No of Questions:2 Tasks -150 words and 250 words
Score:Your score is reported on a Band Scale from 1 to 9, for each module of the test and your Overall Band Score, on a scale from 1 to 9
Question Type:the first task to write a description of 150 words based on the materials found in graphs, chart, tables and diagram and should demonstrate their ability to present information and summarise the main features of the input.

Duration:11-14 minutes
Score:Your score is reported on a Band Scale from 1 to 9, for each module of the test and your Overall Band Score, on a scale from 1 to 9
Question Type:Test takes the form of face to face interview. Candidates are assessed on their use of spoken English to answer short questions, to speak at length on a familiar topic and also to interact with the examiner.
