IIT-JEE
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) every year for the admission to its B-Tech and other courses offered at the IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Kharakpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IT Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.
A candidate can sit for JEE only twice, in consecutive years.

Format of the Exam

| Aptitude Test for B.Arch. and B.Des | |

| Question Type: | Questions on Freehand & Geometrical drawing, Three-dimensional perception, Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity, Architectural awareness. |
Eligibility Criteria
| Min Qualification: | 10+2 |
| Qualifying Subject(s): | Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subject in the qualifying examination with one language and any other subject. |
| Min Marks: | Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their Qualifying Examination. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the Qualifying Examination. |
| Min Age: | For GE and OBC categories, only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1984, are eligible to appear in JEE-2009. For SC, ST, and PD categories, candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1979, are eligible. |
| Reservation Crieteria: | For OBC candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer, 18% of total number of seats are reserved in each of the older IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee), IT-BHU, Varanasi and ISMU, Dhanbad and 27% of total number of seats are reserved in each of the new IITs (Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Patna, Punjab and Rajasthan).For candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, respectively 15% and 7.5% of the total number of seats are reserved in each IIT, IT-BHU, Varanasi and ISMU, Dhanbad. |
